Summer Intensive

Modas Dance Summer Intensive 2015 will take place In Albuquerque, New Mexico July 6th- Aug. 1st. Classes will be held at NDI-Hiland Theatre and housing will be offered through University of New Mexico. Participants will study a curriculum of Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Flexibility, Anatomy & Technique, Improvisation, Dance History/Theory and Repertoire. Participants will study approximately 6-8 hours per day M-F and 4-6 hours per day on Saturdays. Sundays will be a day off with supervised field trips and activities available.
Session one will culminate with an informal studio showing on Saturday July 18th, followed by a question and answer session. Session Two will culminate with a performance in the beautiful Hiland Theatre on Saturday Aug. 1st, in conduction with participants of the Four week Program, Modas Repertory Program and select local guest artists.

Three Levels Offered: Intermediate, Advanced & Pre-Professional
Four Week Session: July 6th-Aug. 1st
Session One: July 6th-July 18th

10 min or less in length that showcases you as a dancer. There are no specific requirements except that you should be easily recognizable and it should be a good example of what you have to offer.
$25 audition fee and short bio and/or resume must be submitted with applications

Live Audition:

You may audition in person at any Modas Workshop or Master Class Taught by Layla Amis or Duncan Cooper.
If you attended Modas 2014 and/or were invited by Duncan Cooper or Layla Amis, you do not need to audition, however you must enroll online by Feb. 20th 2015 to reserve your spot in the program.
